An Easy Evening in Utah: Our After Work Happy Hour at The Brickyard Bar

Some of the best nights are the unhurried ones. No agenda to keep, no schedule to chase, just a good room, a drink in hand, and the kind of conversation that wanders wherever it wants to go. That was the whole spirit of our After Work Happy Hour at The Brickyard Bar in Millcreek, and it turned out to be exactly the evening we hoped for.

On May 28, members, professionals, entrepreneurs, and friends of the French American community came together to do something simple and surprisingly rare. We slowed down. We talked. We met people we had never met and caught up with people we had not seen in a while.

A welcoming room

The Brickyard Bar made it easy. The atmosphere was warm from the moment people walked in, and that warmth set the tone for the whole night. There was no pressure to work the room or trade pitches. People drifted into conversations, food and drinks moved across the tables, and before long the easy hum of a good gathering filled the space.

What I love about a night like this is how natural the connections feel.

Someone new to the community ends up deep in conversation with a longtime member. A casual hello turns into a real exchange of ideas. That is the quiet work of community, and it happens best when nobody is forcing it.

Growing our home in Utah

This evening meant a little extra to us. We are building RMFACC's presence across Utah, and every gathering like this one helps that take root. New faces became familiar faces. The French American business community in Utah felt a bit more connected when we left than when we arrived, and that is the whole point.

We want to keep creating these moments. More chances for members, professionals, entrepreneurs, and friends of the international business community to find each other across the Rocky Mountain region. Utah is very much part of that story, and nights like this remind us why.

Thank you

Thank you to The Brickyard Bar for hosting us in such a welcoming space and for making the evening feel effortless.

And thank you to everyone who came out. You showed up after a long workday, you opened up to people you had just met, and you helped make the evening warm and genuine. That is what keeps this community growing.

The glasses have been cleared, but the conversations from that night are still going. We cannot wait to do it again.

See you at the next one, Utah.
