The Rocky Mountain French American Chamber of Commerce in Colorado was proud to partner with The Elles Collective in welcoming M. le Consul Général Adrien Frier, Consul General of France in Los Angeles, to Colorado for a multi-day visit celebrating the strength and momentum of the French and Francophone community in the state.
One of the central moments of the visit was The Elles Collective’s official Colorado chapter launch, hosted at the RMFACC office at Quantum Performance Partners in Cherry Creek North. RMFACC partnered on this important milestone alongside Alliance Française de Denver and La French Tech Denver, bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community partners committed to supporting Francophone women in their professional and entrepreneurial journeys in the United States.
Supporting Women Entrepreneurs and Building Community
The Elles Collective’s mission—to support Francophone women living in the U.S. as they launch businesses, develop new ideas, and navigate career transitions—strongly aligns with RMFACC’s own mission to bridge French and American professionals and companies and help businesses grow. The evening highlighted the importance of community, mentorship, and trusted networks for those building careers far from home.
As shared during the event, this work resonates on a personal level for RMFACC leadership. For many in the room, including those with immigrant backgrounds, the power of a supportive community can be decisive in transforming ambition into long-term success.
France’s Expanding Economic Presence in Colorado
During his remarks, Consul General Frier emphasized the growing economic and demographic ties between France and Colorado:
2,350 French citizens registered at the Consulate in Colorado, reflecting a 10% increase in one year
More than 10,000 jobs in Colorado created by French companies, making France the fourth-largest foreign employer in the state
$430 million in annual trade between France and Colorado, an increase of over 50% over the past decade
These figures underscore the importance of continued collaboration between French institutions, business networks, and organizations such as RMFACC and The Elles Collective.
A Visit Focused on Education, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
Beyond the Elles Collective launch, the Consul General’s Colorado visit included:
Meetings with students and educators at FrancEducation-labeled schools within the Global Village Academy network in Aurora and Parker
A visit to Babolat’s U.S. headquarters in Louisville, highlighting French innovation and manufacturing in Colorado
Engagement with local Francophone organizations promoting cultural exchange, bilingual education, and economic opportunity
