Croissants, Coffee, and Conversation: Our Arizona Business Breakfast in Scottsdale

There are worse ways to start a Wednesday than with a warm croissant and a room full of good company. On May 20, we got both. Our Arizona Business Breakfast at JL Patisserie in Scottsdale brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, members, and friends of the French American business community for a slow, easy morning, and the pastries did a lot of the heavy lifting.

The pitch had been simple. Come as you are, bring your business cards, and let the croissants do the rest. That is more or less exactly how it went.

A delicious place to begin

JL Patisserie set the perfect scene. The smell of fresh pastries, good coffee within reach, and that particular calm of a morning before the day fully kicks in. There is something about meeting over breakfast that strips away the formality. Nobody is in pitch mode at 7:30 in the morning. People are just a little softer, a little more open, and far more likely to have a real conversation.

And real conversations are what filled the room. Longtime members caught up over coffee. People curious about the chamber found a friendly seat at the table. New introductions turned into the kind of talk that lingers well past the last sip.

The morning that keeps giving

What I love about a breakfast like this is how naturally it works. You are not networking so much as you are simply enjoying yourself, and the connections happen on their own. Someone mentions a project. Someone else knows exactly who to call. A card gets passed across the table, and a few weeks later something good comes of it.

That is the quiet value of starting the day together. It sets a tone, and it reminds everyone that this community is built one warm conversation at a time.

Thank you

A special thank you to JL Patisserie for hosting us and for sharing such a delicious start to the day. The space was welcoming, the pastries were wonderful, and the morning was better for both.

Thank you also to everyone who came out, set an early alarm, and brought such warmth to the table. You made the morning feel less like a meeting and more like a gathering of friends.

We are excited to keep building the French American Chamber of Commerce presence in Arizona and to create more chances for connection across France and the Rocky Mountain region.

Mornings like this one are exactly why.

The coffee cups have been cleared, but we are already thinking about the next croissant.

See you at the table soon.
