La Vie En Rose Brings Parisian Glamour to Denver

Denver’s RiNo Arts District has welcomed a new destination with a distinctly French spirit. La Vie En Rose, an elegant Champagne and cocktail bar, is now open at 1336 27th Street, inviting guests to experience what the bar describes as “echoes of Paris, poured in Denver.”

Created by Nicole and Scott Mattson, the owners of neighboring Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club, La Vie En Rose draws inspiration from the timeless elegance and cinematic glamour of Paris. The intimate interior features rich colors, velvet seating, French artwork, a glass-walled wine cave, and a bar designed with a built-in Champagne bowl.

A Celebration of Champagne

Champagne takes center stage, with a thoughtfully selected list ranging from independent grower Champagnes to renowned historic houses. Guests may explore the collection by the glass or bottle, with the team available to share the stories behind the terroirs, grapes, and winemaking traditions of France’s Champagne region.

The cocktail program carries the same French sensibility. Drinks inspired by Parisian art, poetry, and culture are complemented by a selection of cognacs, Chartreuse, aperitifs, and other French spirits.

A menu of hors d’œuvres and shareable small plates completes the experience. Offerings include steak tartare, spiced fried chicken, and a grand gougère filled with warm ham Mornay—each designed to pair beautifully with Champagne and encourage a relaxed evening around the table.

An Intimate New Gathering Place

Beyond the main bar, La Vie En Rose includes a private room decorated with French art and designed for intimate dinners, celebrations, and special events. Its location beside Nocturne creates two distinct but complementary experiences: Champagne and Parisian-inspired cocktails at La Vie En Rose, followed by—or preceded by—an evening of live jazz next door.

The opening is an exciting addition to Denver’s growing collection of French-inspired businesses and gathering places. It also brings another expression of French hospitality, craftsmanship, and art de vivre to the heart of RiNo.
