Employment Opportunity: Native French Teacher Assistant (Preschool)
The International School of Arizona is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Native French Teacher Assistant (Preschool). This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a native French speaker who is passionate about early childhood education, multilingual learning, and working in an international, mission-driven school environment.
About the Role
Under the guidance of the Program Director and the supervision of the Preschool Teacher, the Preschool French Teacher Assistant supports daily classroom operations and contributes to a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson planning, classroom organization, documentation, hygiene routines, and program events, while fostering trust, security, and positive relationships with students and families.
The role plays a key part in supporting the school’s mission to:
Develop active, globally minded citizens
Foster multilingualism from an early age
Encourage academic excellence within an internationally accredited framework
Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate will:
Be a native French speaker
Have a minimum of 6 months of experience in a childcare or early education setting
Possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
Maintain required health and background clearances
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, patience, creativity, and a collaborative mindset
Have English proficiency (strongly desired)
