For the past five years, Flora Tromelin has played a remarkable role in shaping and strengthening the Arizona community of the French-American Chamber of Commerce - Rocky Mountain Chapter. Through dedication, leadership, and more than 5,000 hours of volunteer work, Flora helped build a vibrant network of French and French-speaking professionals across the state.
During her time as Board Director for Arizona, the chapter reached several important milestones that strengthened the connection between Arizona and the French and European business communities. Among these highlights was the support of the first nonstop flight between Phoenix and Paris operated by Air France, a symbolic step that reinforced the growing ties between the two regions. The chapter also celebrated the arrival of the Michelin Guide in Arizona, another sign of the state’s increasing international recognition.
One of Flora’s most meaningful initiatives was the creation of the first Arizona–European Young Entrepreneur Awards. This project, developed over many months in collaboration with partners and volunteers, was designed to highlight innovation, entrepreneurship, and cross-Atlantic collaboration. The award represents a new opportunity to recognize emerging leaders and strengthen the relationship between Arizona and the European business ecosystem.
Flora’s leadership has helped lay a strong foundation for the Arizona chapter of the Chamber. Her commitment, vision, and generosity of time have contributed significantly to the growth of a dynamic community that continues to connect professionals, businesses, and cultures.
Her work leaves a lasting impact, and the Arizona chapter moves forward with gratitude for everything she helped build.
