On Sunday afternoon, July 13, the heart of Fillmore Plaza pulsed with warmth and harmony as Les Catherines brought their soulful acoustic sound to Bastille Day: French Fest 2025. Nestled beneath the Colorado sun, this multicultural trio offered a spellbinding performance that blended French chanson with global flair—delivering one of the festival’s most heartfelt and intimate musical experiences.
With the theme Legends of France, their show paid tribute to some of France’s greatest songwriters and performers. Their setlist gracefully wove through the timeless tunes of Georges Brassens, Françoise Hardy, Michel Fugain, and Alain Souchon, while also embracing the modern lyricism of acts like Brigitte and Naam.
With three immersive sets spanning two hours, the trio transformed the plaza into a sanctuary of sound. Their bilingual vocals—sung in French, English, Spanish, and more—bridged continents and cultures, creating a rich sonic landscape that connected with every listener, no matter their background.
There was a quiet magic to it all. In between the weekend’s more high-energy moments, Les Catherines invited us to slow down, breathe, and simply listen. Their harmonies rolled through the plaza like a breeze—subtle, strong, and unforgettable.
Merci, Les Catherines, for bringing the legends of France to life with such grace and soul.
